Additional Healing Therapies
There are many wonderful alternatives to surgery and drugs for providing
pain relief and restoring full functioning and wellness. Our South
Denver chiropractic office offers a number of progressive healing therapies
in addition to chiropractic, including:
- Acupuncture - Acupuncture is an ancient healing technique that
uses tiny needles at key points to balance the flow of energy throughout
the body and facilitate healing and pain relief. This technique
is an excellent way to treat structural problems, muscle spasms, joint
pain, etc. -- quickly, safely, and effectively. Learn more
- Active Release Technique /ART - Active Release Technique, or ART,
is a non-invasive treatment used to correct conditions arising from
overuse, repetitive stress injuries, sports injuries, and other injuries,
aches, pains, and chronic and acute conditions. ART is known
for “fixing
injuries fast.” ART is also great for post surgery therapy. Learn

- Cold Laser Therapy – Cold laser therapy is new to the United
States, but it has been used with outstanding results in the UK for
the past 20 years. The laser light replicates the body’s
natural electronic frequency and stimulates tissues to produce energy
that speeds up the body’s natural healing process, with great
results and significant pain relief.
- Flexion/Distraction Table for Spinal Decompression is one of the
newest technologies for pain relief. Flexion/Distraction is the most
precise form of spinal decompression there is. It can save you
from surgery, herniated discs (like sciatica) and other types of spinal
biomechanical problems that cause back pain. Unlike the “Space
Age” decompression
tables, the flexion/distraction table is very specifically directed
at the problem area, providing targeted relief.
“I used
to suffer from constant and intense lower back pain that would radiate
into my left leg. I had attended physical therapy sessions... but that
did nothing to help my pain. After just a few treatments by Dr. Eldridge
using his Flexion / Distraction table, he
was able to decompress the bulging disks that were pressing on a nerve. I no longer have any low

Massage
Therapy – When most people think of massage, they
picture a “feel good” Swedish massage at a spa. However,
therapeutic massage therapy and neuromuscular retraining is so much
more than that. Yes,
it can be relaxing, but it is also a powerful healing modality that
can relieve pain and trigger points, retrain muscles, and — in
conjunction with chiropractic care — it speeds up your body’s
ability to heal itself.
- Medical Consultations – Although holistic and non-invasive
therapies are usually preferred, there are times when allopathic medical
intervention is exactly what’s needed for surgical or pharmaceutical
consultations. In
keeping with our openness to ALL forms of treatment for our patients,
we have an onsite medical doctor – Dr. Allison M. Fall, M.D.
on our staff to consult in conditions that might require surgery or
drugs.
I have been using Dr Eldridge’s services for several years and
have been quite happy with the results of his treatments. The most recent
treatment has been for a frozen shoulder. I came to Dr Eldridge as a
result of an otherwise untreated fall and resulting strains which had,
over a period of 4 months, gone from a sore shoulder that wouldn’t
heal to a frozen shoulder. I had a lot of pain from the injury and because
I did not seek treatment sooner I had mostly lost the use of my left
shoulder. It has taken over a year, but I have full use of my shoulder
again. This has not been easy to accomplish and we have used acupuncture,
active release technique and stretching which regained about 30% of my
range of motion, but everything was still painful. Then I had an MRI
done which showed severe tendonitis and severe bursitis. After that at
Dr Eldridge’s recommendation a medical doctor gave me a cortisone
shot and we continued the treatments as before. Although it took a little
over a year due to the severity of the condition, I now have the full
use of my shoulder back and NO MORE PAIN. Thank You Dr Eldridge
